What's in a name?

When is a Chevy not a Chevy but a Chevrolet?  Perhaps when management has a week's worth of branding sessions and decides that everyone drop the nickname Chevy and refer to the brand as Chevrolet.

If you do a search for chevy or actually type in chevy.com in your browser you wind up on chevrolet.com.  And as a lark, I called the information hotline and they answered Chevrolet so I asked them questions about chevy dealers and at one point I was corrected by a very nice person who suggested that the name was Chevrolet.  The Times wrote about this issue this morning.....Then there is the jingle for Chevrolet, and Dinah Shore's TV show.....Chevy on the Levee?
