Kids with passion

I have no idea who this person is. I do know that she grew up in Venezuala and she is under 17 years old and she goes to music classes 3 hours a day, 5 days a week and 6 hours a day on weekends. Then she has to practice...roughly that amout of time..so playing cello for her is a full time job..full time. By the way, she also goes to high school and MUST maintain grades or they take away her privilege to play the cello...no grades no play. Very simple.

She plays with an orchestra of high school students and here is part of a performance. If you just like pretty music this is special. If you are a professional musician you have a hard time figuring what major symphony orchestra this is if you just listen to it and can't see the faces.

This is a miracle of teaching and spirit.  The "kids" get the music...watch the expressions. The piece is very hard to play - technically and musically...long long phrases, balance, always forward movement...it is just hard.

When all the world seems somewhat bleak with bad news abounding it isn't a bad thing to have this or something like this to play to renew the faith that over time everything works its way through.
