Well there seems to be no end to this spill....and no end to the spin. If memory serves, BP suggested that with the new cap the oil spill would be reduced to a trickle by the middle of next week. That's five days from now to turn the flow down from 2.1 million or so gallons a day (50,000 barrels).
Now the British are all up in arms because we are badmouthing BP and hurting the stock price and threatening the dividend. They are attacking our politicians for not talking nice to them.
Now comes Rand Paul, the MD from Ky with what appears to be have no means of or possible control between this brain and his mouth. His "sounds faintly un-American", referring to the administration's criticism of BP is just his latest "door slightly ajar" comment that probably makes people cringe more than a little. It does me.
