It is Saturday in the Park today.
Not Chicago and not the Fourth of July but May 1 and a few days late but still the celebration day for my first grand daughter on her third birthday (she is 3 years and 4 days today but this is the first weekend day) and we can get to Brooklyn to see her and it is 5am and I'm up because I am excited about it.
I bought a kite to fly with her. She has a party with cupcakes and 20 or so of her Montessori friends. Her little sister will be there of course and we are driving in with her aunt and cousin (another grand daughter).
Very simple gifts. Lego set. A kite. Tons of affection. What more is there on earth than this.
