Horowitz, the Russian pianist, possible one of the greatest of all time - of all time - played this transcription he made of the Stars and Stripes Forever every chance he had. He was an immigrant who came here fleeing his homeland and taking up residency in the new world. He was grateful for the opportunity and we were grateful to receive him and his talent. He was an amazing person and although his inspirational gifts were well known when he landed here to stay I am kinda thinking that Memorial Day celebrates these "chances" that this country gives. Not to mention that you need 3-4 hands to play this monster of a transcription...looks easy ha!...just give it a whirl.
