While eating madelines (just kidding) and thinking about childhood and the Addams Family from last evening and the real one from 40 years ago, I got an email from the history channel reminding me that some 40+ years ago Apollo 13 (of Tom Hanks movie fame) was getting ready to go to the moon.
Interesting that less than half of us alive right now actually saw man on the moon live. I can't image that figure being true but it is. Very sad.
Anyway, I clearly remember my saturday nights when I was about 8 years old and it was Gunsmoke, Paladin, something or other and Science Fiction Theater. It was an amazing little program and it still has a cult following although statistically less then 1/4 of us ever saw it live. Here are the opening credits and ending (and if you note, Deforrest Kelly of Star Trek fame was in this episode). He is one of my favorites...a robot broom...and they are on infomercials all over...truth is stranger than fiction...pass the cookies.
