I just shot off my mouth about Confederate Day and I'm all crazy because it upsets me. Trying to regain my moment of Zen is hard under the onslaught of puffed up stupidity but I'm struggling to be a more forgiving person.
Waxing nostalgic often helps. In 8th grade our band director, now deceased but never forgotten, wrote a transcription (see blog entry on orchestration) on a piano piece "Reverie" by Claude Debussy played here (the piano version). No orchestral version seems to rest on Youtube so I'll post one up there this day. The piano will get you back to Zen though.
