Our St. Patrick's Day Parade is today...but later...let's enjoy surises

It is about 20 degrees or so and pretty dry so the cold doesn't just knock you over. The last Saturday in March shouldn't be this way but it is and actually not so horrible. The geese are out and about honking like mad about something as are any number of city folk out for the weekend - also honking like mad.  I wonder why when folks walk in an absolute blissful, natural, surrounding they have to gum it up by making noise.

Our little village abounds with the Irish today starting middle morning and going until the police lock up is full and our local officers have had enough of the nonsense.  But it is a day of $3.00 hotdogs and green beer, some more cooked cabbage and that actually delightful smell of corned beef on the stove.  ... and next time simmer it in beer and a cup of whiskey...it really is much better than anything I've ever had before.  But back to sunrise along the ocean in New England. .. Or just early morning along the water. Talk to you after I get back from the parade.
