Who on earth thought that this was a good idea? A clever thing to do? Funny?
From an industry that can produce makeup artists that show people growing younger, take us to the moon, ride brooms, create images that last forever and mostly, mostly, put forth the spoken word in wonderful and memorable ways, do we get a TV show that comes out like this - like the Lincoln Junior High awards ceremony.
We had a big stew in New York because Cablevision and WABC had a squabble about what will ultimately be our home cable bill. It grew to the point that ABC was off the cable grid until a little ways into the program and then "agreement in principal" was reached and the show was available. Frankly speaking, I resent having to pay for watching this claptrap.
