Well I read the whole dang thing and

I can't find it.  The whole dang thing is the constitution and you might do well to read it here,  You see, what I was looking for was some rationale for Senator 41 as we now affectionately refer to the proud and honorable Senator elect from Massachusetts, the honorable Mr. Brown.

Senator 41 was elected on a mission.  Like Mr. Phelps in Mission Impossible, his role if he chose to accept it, is to bring the business of the senate to a grinding halt.  In fact, his vote determines what gets talked about and what doesn't.  So I read the constitution again, end to end, to see where the 60 vote majority comes into play and in the midst of the ayes and nays, I found nothing other than some "passes" and a lot of stuff requiring 2/3rds for removing folks who "done us wrong".

So I'm up early this morning looking yet again.  See the picture of the US Senate? See the 40 soon to be 41 guys and gals sitting kinda by themselves on the lower right?  They are the ones in control.  They can't win a vote, not one.  The only thing they can do is filibuster and when there is a vote to end the work stoppage, their 41 votes win.  Mr. 41 is the deal maker.

His mother would be so proud.
