So the largest real estate deal in NYC history just went back to the lenders...bought at the height of the real estate boom, $5.4 billion of real estate goes back to the creditors.

I'm sure when these buttheads filled out their loan applications they were asked "IS IT SAFE". ... and like Dustin Hoffman in Marathon Man, they didn't have a clue.   And it wasn't. Obviously.

Is anyone giving back the fees? Is anyone giving back the upfront money?  Are the owners now "givers back" going to jail?  At the very least they should have their teeth drilled.
