If that water looks cold, it is.  I've actually been to that spot in the winter and was thinking about it some today as that was one great treat when he was still alive and being adventuresum to travel into the upper peninsula of Michigan...the big greyish blob is Lake
Superior and I suspect that if you want to find out what 32.1 degree water is, just dangle a toe.

Laurium is where George Gipp  (of Ronald Reagan "win one for the gipper" fame) was born and yes for some reason I was thinking about Notre Dame football (as a Michigan State alum I often think of ND and beating the heck out of them) and one thing led to another and eventually to this webcam.

The Internet is so much like a stream of consciousness library...if you aren't looking for verifiable facts that is...but looking at things of which there is no opinion but black and white reality...webcams for instance.  if you can't remember a place you have visited then it is a way to get into Mr. Peabody's "way back" machine and have some memories.

We used to vacation here as well (Moose Lake in Ely Minnesota)....but in the summer.
