Of course the easy pickings this morning is the idiot who tried to do something on the NWA flight into Detroit. What in the world? What kind of person...all that and more. Frankly, the death sentence carried out over a number of months..perhaps one layer of skin at a time...seems about right.
Then we get to innocents...speaking of health care....how about Sen. Hatch when asked how he voted for the Medicare Prescription Drug thing and opposes the President's plan:
"Six years ago, "it was standard practice not to pay for things," said Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah. "We were concerned about it, because it certainly added to the deficit, no question." His 2003 vote has been vindicated, Hatch said, because the prescription drug benefit "has done a lot of good."
Done who a lot of good (you idiot)? The drug companies? Ya'betcha.I want to tell you a plain fact that is well known in advertising circles. 40% of the cost of getting a drug (well 38-40%) comes from advertising that drug in the United States. "Ask your doctor if Cialis is right for you"? you know the commercials.
As someone who heads a family that co-pays $540 a month (not by bad health habits..its genetic), the Dear Senator can take his opinion and shove it up his "free healthcare for life" ass. Then we go to Canada where prescription drug advertising isn't allowed. And can we guess how much less drugs, on whole, cost in Canada? OMG..you guessed 38-40%.
I don't want to use the "F" word so close to Christmas but....com'on Orin, get real.
