These are Canada Goose (one) or Canadian Geese (many). I thought they migrated but only offspring from migrating geese migrate. The ones born to non-migrating geese stay put.
Geese supposedly poop when they take off... to lighten the load ??. Perhaps they also poop when flying. I don't know.
A no-no if you want to avoid Goose poop
So I guess to avoid an over-supply of goose poop in your yard, you just go out and ask them to waddle over somewhere else and for heaven's sake don't scare them into flying.
Geese can become a serious nightmare! Call canada geese removal NJ if things go too far.
