Thank you for making the tough choices Gov. Brewer

In a move highly reminiscent of Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal", Governor Brewer has walked the walk and talked the talk in Arizona.  She has made the tough choices proving once and for all she is "La Macho Grande" (she has forbidden her staff from using that term under threat of arrest for being here illegally) and she and her party faithful are prepared to stem the tide of health care spending regardless.  "We all have to make sacrifices" the Governor said, "and perhaps some more than others but that's just tough love...and I'm all about tough love".  "I love my constituents - even the ones I have to kill but how else am I going to make my point".

Conservatives applauded the grit of this "Palinesque" modern day Swift and are rushing to her aid in her time of stress.  The Governor declined further comment on the matter as she was late for a new private prison opening and the ensuing fundraiser.  An aide, speaking on the condition of anonymity stated that Governor Brewer knew she faced tough choices when she ran for the office but was prepared to make them every day. The aide further stated that the latest death was fairly swift (no pun intended) and the patient's deathbed agony was being overblown in the press. "People die every day for Heaven's Sake.  What's the big deal".

  1. Irrespective of how you pay for it, health care *is* expensive. And since our national productivity hasn't gone up nearly as much as the amount of health care we consume, it's just an iron fact that we - as a nation - cannot afford something like Obamacare. You can ridicule politicians and villify billionaires, but that won't pay for what you demand. So when Obamacare is fully implemented, and we have a fiscal trainwreck of epic proportion, people like you can complain that reality just isn't fair. For once, you'll be right.
