Pastor Terry Jones and Christian Zeal

This isn't a good idea. It is protected free speech but it isn't a good idea no matter how you slice it.  The picture is Terry Jones and he is going to burn a religious book in a couple days.  Hope is that he will change his mind but it doesn't look like this guy has every changed his mind about anything.

Some in this country are horribly confused about who we are fighting and who attacked us on 9-11. There are huge numbers of Muslims in the world. A percentage, albeit small, belong to the Taliban, the later was/is a Wahhabi Islamist political group, mainly in Afghanistan and it permitted Al-Qaeda to flourish there and their influence to spread. It is likely that all Al-Qaeda members are Muslims but far from mainstream or typical. They are, in fact, terrorists and killers.  Mr. Jones wants to burn a Koran - offensive to all Muslims, Taliban and Al-Qaeda alike. He is, in fact, swatting a fly with the atomic bomb and the fly is the only thing to live through it.

Whatever happened to Christian principles?  Where did this guy get his instruction?

  1. Curious how one reconciles a defense of Mapplethorp's so-called art which included a crucifix in a jar of urine, which many Christians complained about, or the defense of the Virgin Mary made out of dung, another piece of art the left stood by, with their sudden deference for Muslim sensibilities.

Is it just Christianity you hate? Because I can see no other reason why you guys would zealously defend things that are offensive to Christians, but protest things that are offensive to Muslims.

Perhaps if this pastor received an NEA grant you'd be ok with it.
