This post and the next have pieces of English music by Ralph Vaughn-Williams (his first name is pronounced Rafe for some reason). I met him once when he was visiting in NY shortly before his death and was at the house of a friend. He was elegant in a modest way and very quiet. He smiled a lot. If I had his talent or a 1/10th of it I would smile too. Enjoy this very familiar melody.
