Jessica Lynch day

14 years ago today Jessica Lynch was rescued in Iraq.  Her vehicle crashed and she was badly injured, captured by Iraq forces, taken to a hospital and then rescued by our special forces.

She was honored a lot and her story, the rescue, etc. was a thing of legend.  However, like most "legends", the facts got obscured. LYNCH DIDN'T DO IT AND SHE IS EVERY BIT DESERVING OF ANY MEDALS AND ACCOLADES THAT SHE GETS. That is, in spite of people who used her and lied about her and did so, so that that pompous strut-in-jay could pose on the aircraft carrier and declare mission accomplished.

I wonder where our memories are. I really do.  That the government would use an innocent for down and dirty political tricks, some soldier who was injured, some grunt (in the nicest sense) who was out there while the chickenshits sat in Washington doing their political thing - well damn them to hell. This is the Bush administration at its worst - well maybe not because I'm going to take you to Afghanistan tomorrow to remember an NFL star who enlisted and was killed there and was also lied about for propaganda reasons.

Had you now shame Mr. Bush?
