If you catch the movie Aviator and note the band in the nightclub scene (plus most of the music) it is supplied by a Manhattan area band called the Nighthawks with Vince Giordano.
If you can catch this ensemble live it is worth the trip no matter where. They play. The audience loves it. They were on Prairie Home Companion a few weeks ago. Toes are still tappin'.
